We will be open through the last week or so of October 2006.  We will have a clearance auction on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at which time we will sell off our remaining inventory, fixtures, equipment  and anything else left A word of appreciation for our customers and acquaintances who we have had the privilege of serving for over 43 years.  We will truly miss you!

Oct       We had a great customer appreciation day on Sunday Oct 22.  Thanks for those who were able to attend and we missed those who were not there!  

            We have had some good trout bites, good bluefish and some good spot bites at times.  Some Albies this last week of October

Sept    We have had some nice runs of black drum and spots particularly at night.  Also mixed in are sea mullet, right many croaker and some pompano and red drum.  Some nice Spanish showing up again along with bluefish in the mornings and evenings in good water conditions.  

Week of Aug 14 some nice flounder coming in on a regular basis.  Congrats to JW Morris on his 5lb 12oz doormat.  Also some nice Spanish some mornings and evenings.  Blues, spots, croaker pompano and sea mullet round out the catch.  Night fishing is best.

 

Aug 1-15, 2006  We have had technical difficulties with our system and thus the reason for the delayed update to our website.  Aug has been hot and fishing has slowed in general.  We have had 4 kings caught last week and good catches of Spanish especially in the mornings.  Flounder have been good at times also.  Bottom catches include spots, pompano, sea mullet, croaker, blues, drum and an occasional trout and sheepshead.  Night fishing is best.


July 27, 2006 Sunny day with a SSW breeze. Rolling waves have limited plugging today and bottom fishing is yielding blues, spots, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, and croaker.


July 26, 2006 Sunny day, light SSW breeze. Nice blues, some Spanish on plugs. Flounder good at times. Bottom producing smaller spots, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, and croaker.


July 25, 2006 started overcast with a northerly breeze and switched to Sw with sunshine. Some nice blues on plugs, some Spanish on live minnows, Bottom producing flounder, spots, blues, sea mullet, pompano, and croaker.


July 24, 2006 Overcast again with a SE breeze. Nice run of blues on plugs (up to 2 lbs common) Also 15 lb 2 oz King landed and a number of additional strikes. Bottom producing nice flounder this morning and some spots, blues, sea mullet, pompano, croaker and trout.


July 24, 2006 Overcast today with a SE breeze. Some blues and Spanish on plugs. Spots, blues, sea mullet on bottom with some pompano, croaker and trout. Good flounder bite at times.


July 23, 2006 Overcast with chance of showers am. SW breeze.. Sea mullet, blues with some spots, croaker and trout. Also some flounder, black drum, and pompano make up the rest of the catch.


July 22, 2006 Sunny day with a good SW breeze which has blown in a good run of fish on bottom; blues, spots, croaker and trout right now. Flounder, black drum, and pompano make up the rest of the catch.


July 21, 2006 Somewhat overcast today with a SW breeze and clear water. Few blues and an occasional spanish. Flounder, spot blues and croaker.


July 20, 2006 Beautiful, carbon copy of the last few days. Southerly breeze and clear water. Good spanish and blue. Good sized flounder, pompano and sea mullet. Kings and tarpon spotted. Others mixed in include drum, sheapshead, trout, spadefish, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, croaker. Nightime is best.


July 19, 2006 Southerly breeze and clear water. Again good blue and spanish bite. Kings are available as well and we have had some tarpon strike. Some nice flounder, spots, flounder and blues at times. Others mixed in include drum, sheapshead, trout, spadefish, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, croaker. Nightime is best.

July 17, 2006 Northerly breeze and clear water. Best fishing day of the last couple of weeks. Good bluefish and spanish bite on plugs. We caught our first king mackeral. Some nice flounder coming up. Bottom fishing producing some nice spots, flounder and blues at times. Others mixed in include drum, sheapshead, trout, spadefish, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, croaker. Nightime is best.

July 15, 2006 SW breeze and a chance of showers, Water conditions cloudy with periods of clear water at the end. Bottom fishing including a mix of spots, blues, drum, sheapshead, flounder, trout, spadefish, sea mullet, pompano, hogfish, croaker and shrks unfortunately. Nightime is best.


July 14, 2006 Still a little breezy, summery mix with a SW breeze. Water still somewhat cloudy with periods of clear water at the end. Bottom fishing being the most productive. June 15 2006 Great weather is back. Sunshine and breeze 10 mph out of the SW. Blues on plugs and bottom is producing spots, hogfish, croaker, blues and trout. Water is clearing. Also som cobia around and a number of large fish have been hooked but none landed as of 3pm.


June 14 2006 Wet with tropical storm conditions. Rolling surf ESE winds (15-20 mph). Despite the rough weather, we have a few people fishing and reports from them are sea mullet, spots, hogfish, blues, and trout.


June 13 2006 Overcast and pleasant with light Easterly breeze and 70's. Water is clearing. Few blues on plugs. Spots, hogfish, sea mullet and pompano primarily on bottom.

May 31, 2006 Same as yesterday with a great day and light SE breeze. Air temps in the high 70's low 80's. Water is clear. Great spanish/blue run this morning with many limiting out on spanish. Board spanish is 4lb 8 oz. Good strong run of hogfish on bottom along with some nice summer spots. Some nice flounder also. Others in the mix are sea mullet, croaker and pompano.


May 30, 2006 Beautiful! Light SSE breeze:air temps in high 70's low 80's. Water is clear. Good run of blues and spanish this morning with many limiting out on spanish. We've had some nice keeper flounder the last couple of days. Bottom catches include hogfish, spots, sea mullet, blues, pompano.


May 29, 2006 Another beautiful day with a light N breeze early. Water is clear. Blues and a few spanish this morning. Hogfish, spots, croaker, sea mullet, blues, pompano and ocassionally flounder on bottom. Also are seeing some cobia now.


May 28, 2006 Gorgeous day with a light SW breeze and air temps up to 90's daytime. Water is clearing and mostly clear. Blues and a few spanish this morning. Look for a good run this evening. Hogfish, spots, croaker, sea mullet, blues, pompano and ocassionally flounder on bottom.


May 27, 2006 Wind has laid down this morning and is about 9 mph out of the SW; air temps in the 80's. Water is dirty right now and bottom fish being landed include hogfish, spots, croaker, bluefish, black drum and some pompano.

May 13, 2006 Beautiful day with sunshine and a SW breeze. Air temps in the 70's. Lots of blues and spanish. Some nice Hatteras blues. The bite today is really good with lots of blues, trout (mostly grey but also some specs), pompano, hogfish, spots and croaker.


May 12, 2006 Beautiful day with sunshine and a SW breeze. Air temps in the 70's. Lots of blues and spanish with the board spanish being 2 lbs 5 oz. today. Some nice Hatteras blues. Still catching good numbers of gray trout, sea mullet, spots and croaker in the mix.

May 10, 2006 Mostly sunny today. Light SW breeze with air temps in the 70's. Good bluefish (lots) and spanish bite today. Also good numbers of gray trout, sea mullet, spots and some croaker. Congrats to Larry for the first legal flounder today.


May 9, 2006 Overcast today with periods of sunshine but no rain. Light NE breeze with air temps in the 70's. Large numbers of bluefish (all you care to catch!) Sizes up to abut 2/2.5 pound. Also have had limits caught of grey trout, also good keeper size. Also catching spanish mackeral mixed in the blues on plugs. A few pompano today with some spots, sea mullet, and croaker.


May 6, 2006 Beautiful all day with some clouds but mostly sunshine. Light SW breeze with air temps in the 70's. We have weighed some spanish mackeral today with the board fish weighing 1 lb 7 oz. Lots of blues and they are getting larger with a number weighed in at over 7 lbs. Most caught on plugs and lots of them! Nice pompano coming in along with better sized spots, Good sea mullet bite last night and this morning. Again no sharks and rays this morning. May 5, 2006 Overcast but pleasant, air temps in the 70's with a light SW breeze. Lots of blues all day long, sizes up to a little over 1 lb. We have weighed in a number of nice pompano with the board being 1lb 7oz. Sharks and rays have slowed down and bottom is producing some sea mullet, spots, hogfish, perch, croaker, trout and an occasional small flounder. May 4, 2006 Just like yesterday with lots of blues and sea mullet at night. Bottom is producing some spots, sea mullet, hogfish, perch, croaker, trout and an occasional small flounder. May 3, 2006 Great weather with sunshine and daytime air temps in the 80's and a SW breeze. Bluefish every cast on got cha plugs this morning, sizes up to 1 lb. A few spanish now and then. Nice sea mullet bite last night with some leaving with coolers full. Good size also. Bottom is producing some spots, sea mullet, hogfish, perch, croaker, trout and an occasional small flounder. May 2, 2006 The weather is beautiful with sunshine with a light breeze generally out of the W/sw. We have a good blue bite going on with all you want on plugs. Size is good, up to a pound. congrats to Charlie Mullins on the first Spanish mackeral of the season weighing in at 10 oz. this morning. April 16, 2006 SE Breeze today and thank heavens the wind has come down to around 11 MPH. Catches are good and include sea mullet, and black drum. Also in the mix are blues, spots, trout, sharks and rays. April 15, 2006 today is like yesterday except the water has muddied some from the continual SW winds. Sea mullet, black drum, sharks and rays and some blues, spots and mixed trout. April 14, 2006 Good fishing day with a SW breeze bringing the sea mullet, the same as most this week. Also present are blowfish, blues, spots, trout and some dogfish. April 11, 2006 Slightly warmer with daytime air temps in the 70's. Catches are about the same as yesterday with sea mullet, blowfish, blues, small spots and an occasional trout. April 10, 2006 Cooler today with a light Northerly breeze. Catches today are primarily sea mullet with some puffers, small spots and some bluefish. Some Albies also breaking water today. April 9, 2006 Breezes turned Northerly last night and much calmer. We slayed the sea mullet last night with people catching multi-coolers full. Good sizes as well. Today we have some sea mullet, bluefish, spots and the albies are around! April 8, 2006 Strong SSW breeze (20mph)has the ocean rolling today. We are seeing catches of sea mullet, blowfish and small spots.

Windy day today with some cloud cover. SW winds have the ocean rolling - just right for sea mullet (Board fish is 1 lb. 14.5 oz.) Should be a good night tonight for them. Saturday 4/1: Lots of wind today with a steady sw breeze about 18mph but sunny this afternoon. Great sea mullet bite today with catches being in the dozens for everyone! They are good size with the board fish being 1 lb and most are close to that size. Great start to the spring season. Also seeing some blowfish, small spots and croakers, and black drum. Also seeing some bluefish mostly being small with an 5.5 oz on the board.


Friday 3/31: The last few days have been very nice with air temps running into the 70's daytime. A light SW breeze today Sunny...may try to get cloudy late, with a chance of scattered showers tonight but mostly really nice.

We have had some nice runs of sea mullet particularly at night. Tuesday night was particularly productive with catches of 30 common. Daytime has seen some sea mullet, blowfish and small croakers with occasional black drum. Some good bird action in view and probably some albies around but none landed so far. An occasional speckled trout has been landed as well. When it has been rough, we see the regular sand sharks and rays. It is good to have the pier up and running and people around.


Friday 11/25: Partly Cloudy, temps in the mid 50s, winds 10-15 from the NNW.

Fairly decent crowd out fishing. They are catching a few spots, sea mullet and black drums.


Thursday 11/24: Mostly sunny, temps in the low 70s, winds 15-25 from the west, water pretty churned up.

From what I heard only a few red drum and sea mullets were caught (pretty slow).


Wednesday 11/23: We saw a mix...red drum, black drum, puffer, hog fish, trout, sea mullet and flounder were reported caught (although not many of each).


Tuesday 11/22: Mostly cloudy, temps in the high 50s, winds 10-15 out of the West South West. Waves 6-10feet.

Only five people out fishing at 1pm...some puppy drums caught (all too small to keep).


Monday 11/21: Heavy rains in the AM going to mostly cloudy in the PM, temps in low 60s, winds 30mph sustained gusts to 50.

Few fishing but only report I had of catches was a nice albacore hooked and landed in the morning.


Sunday 11/20: Mostly cloudy with periods of light rain, temps in upper 60s, light winds under 10mph out of NNE.

This morning has seen mostly trout being caught 1/2 of them keepers. Also caught a few blues and puffers.


Saturday 11/19: Sunny, temps in the lows 60s (wind chill low 50s), winds 10-15 from the NNE.

We have seen a few specks 13-15" range, sea mullet, puffers, small black drum, medium sized blues and albacore jumping but none hooked-up.


Friday 11/18: Clear & Sunny, temps in mid 50s, light winds (under 10mph) from the north.

Not many braving the chill... few sea mullet and trout caught.


Thursday 11/17: Cloudy, temps in the low 70s

Few blues early, small grey & speckled trout, and some sea mullet.


Wednesday 11/16: Blues, specks, sea mullet, small spots, puffer, flounder and some perch


Tuesday 11/15: Mostly cloudy, temps in the mid 70s, winds 5-15 out of the west south west.

So far we have seen some small trout, small flounder, and a few sea mullets.


Monday 11/14: Sunny few clouds here and there, temps in the upper 70s at 2pm, winds light from the south east.

The pier is not very crowded today. Those fishing have been catching a few spots, specks(about 1/2 keepers), and some small flounders( 3/4 NOT keepers).

Wonderful day to go fishing if for no other reason that to enjoy this weather...it won't be long till it turns off cold.


Sunday 11/13: Sunny with very few clouds, temps in mid 70s, and almost no wind from the NE.

Morning saw a few fish caught, Spot, Puffers, Black Drum, Blues, and some small Speckled Trout(too small to keep).

3:00pm... reports of a few nice Flounder and repeat of morning catches.


Saturday 11/12: Sunny almost no clouds, temps in the low 70s, wind calm when there is a puff it is out of the east.

Still catching the specks, some blues, puffers and spot. The spots are pretty good sized


Friday 11/11: Sunny, temps in the mid 70s, breeze light under 5mph out of the West South West.

Fishing pretty good today darn near matches the weather. We have seen a good number of spots caught (medium sized). Same thing with the sea mullets. Some people limiting out on the speckled trout. Also caught a few flounder (most too small).

Tuesday 11/8: Sunny, temps in the mid 80s, winds under 10mph from the south west.

Seem to be catching them pretty well today. By noon we saw spots, grey trout, speckled trout, blues, flounder, black drum and even an albacore caught.


Monday 11/7: Sunny, temps in the low 70s, winds 5-15 from the East South East. Could not be a more beautiful day to be out fishing.

Well maybe it could be...wouldn't hurt to have a few more fish being caught. We have seen a few blues, a few spots, a few grey trout, and a fair number of medium sized black drum.

In the morning we saw a few keeper flounder and an albacore was hooked up but never made it to the deck.


Sunday 11/6: Sunny, temps in the high 70s, winds light (under 10mph) from the south.

Morning saw a few spot, few small pompano, some sea mullet a few black drum and one nice grey trout. Asking people as they leave, it doesn't seem as if anyone caught a whole bunch. Most report 5-10 fish caught.


Saturday 11/5: Sunny, temps in mid 80s, winds 5-15 out of SSW.

Early reports sea mullets hiting pretty good... continued from overnight. Around 10:30 spots hitting well. Also caught Black Drum, hogfish,blues, small trout(not keepers)


Friday 11/4: a few, small trout, blues, small spot, black drum, puffers and several keeper flounder.


Thursday 11/3: Still catching the speckled trout 2-3lb range, fair number of blues, some black drum, sea mullet and spots. In the evening we saw quite a few sea mullet.


Wednesday 11/2: Daytime speckl;ed trout and the usual mix of others. Evening saw quite a few sea mullet.


Tuesday 11/1: Partly Cloudy, temps in the low 70s , winds light under 5mph. 40% chance of rain forecasted for late afternoon .

Last evening there was a run of spots in the early evening (coolers were filled!!)

Jim Brooks brought a 3lb 6oz speckled trout in to be weighed last evening, taking the leader position away from Judy.

Morning saw a continuation of the specks although they were a little pickier hitting only live minnows.


Monday 10/31: Sunny, temps a bit warmer in the low 80s, winds under 5mph out of SSW.

A few scattered spots in the morning and early afternoon. Most people seem to be fishing for the speckled trout that abound. While gathering the trash I saw a few coolers with some nice ones 14-15"

4:00pm....Last hour has seen increased action with the spots about 3/4 down the pier.

Judy Kennedy came in with 2 specks. One 2lb 13oz and the other 3lb 1oz to take leader position.

Also catching some good sized blues, hogfish and some small (not keeper) flounder.


Sunday 10/30: Plentiful sun, temps in the low 60s, light winds under 10mph from the NW.

Overnight reports of quite a few speckled trout, black drum, red drum, and spots.

Morning saw changes on the leaderboard in two catagories. Don Rich caught a 3lb speckled trout. David Bryant caught a 6lb 1-1/2oz Red Drum.

Others were also catching the specks and puppys.


Saturday 10/29: Sunny day, temps in the low 70s, winds light under 5mph.

Good run of Spots in am, catching a fair number of Speckled Trout (most about 1/2 inch too short), Blues in afternoon. The pier was fairly crowded all day and thru the evening.


Friday 10/28: Morning started out with quite a bit of rain, temps in the upper 50s, winds 15-20 out of the north.

We saw a change on the leaderboard with a 2lb 13oz speckled trout caught by Rhett Inabinet.

They have been catching a fair number of spots, hogfish and speckled trout.

The rain has stopped as of 2pm and there are reports of fair sized spots continuing to be caught in good numbers.


Thursday 10/27: Spots, bluefish, speckled trout, black drum (small) and a few pompano.


Wednesday 10/26: We saw a good run of mid-sized spots.

Also caught some large hogfish, some black drum, red drum, nice sea mullet, and several keeper flounder.


Tuesday 10/25: Bright sun, temps in the high 60s, winds 10-20mph from the west.

We have pretty good sized waves today some about 10 feet. A few flounder caught and some small pompano & spot.


Monday 10/24: Light rain all morning, light winds under 10mph from the NNE, temps in the low 70s.

Very few out fishing... reports of a few blues and a few spots caught, that is all we have heard so far.

Winds are predicted to increase this afternoon and the rains continue.

Those who braved the rains reported that they caught a bunch of blues in the 3-4lb range.


Sunday 10/23: A bit of rain overnight then sunny in the morning turn to slightly overcast in the afternoon. Temps in the mid 70s with light (under 5mph) winds.

A mix of fish caught today, Small blues, few spots, black drum, pompano, sea mullet, grey trout, and speckled trout.


Saturday 10/22: Sunny, temps in the mid 80s, winds 10-20 mph from the south south west.

Early in the day reports of a few spanish caught on the end.

Afternoon saw a few spots, a few pompanos, some small blues, small black drum and some flounder too small to keep.

No great numbers of anythiing being caught, but it seems as though everyone asked at least caught a few of something


Friday 10/21: Sunny, temps in the mid 80s, winds light(5-10mph) from the south.

Fishing a bit slow with a few spot, pompano, small black drum, hogfish and blues caught so far today.

A few spanish were caught on the end using gold hook rigs.

Wednesday 10/19: There was a fairly good run of spot that began at 8:00pm and lasted for about an hour and a half.


Tuesday 10/18: Sunny temps in the mid 80s, winds out of the south west 5-15mph.

Today they have been catching quite a few of the small black drum.

Also catching small blues, a few spot and a few pompano.


Monday 10/17: Bright sunny day, clear skies and clear water, air temps in the low 80s with light (under 10mph) winds.

Morning saw more of the small spots, small blues, small black drum, a few spanish, and some pompano (some good sized).


Sunday 10/16: Sunny temps in the mid 70s light(under 10mph) winds began the day from north has since turned around to come from the south west.

A fair number of small spots have been reported (catches of 30 & 40).

Also caught some small blues, pompano, and trout.


Saturday 10/15: Beautiful sunny day, temps in the low 80s, winds 5-15 out of the NW.

Early today they were catching a few spots, sea mullet, pompano & flounder.

About 4pm a fairly good run of spots started just past the first house.


Friday 10/14: Cloudy with cool temps in the low 70s, winds 5-15 out of the NNW.

Morning saw a few spot, flounder, blues and pompano. No big run of anything yet today (as of 2pm).


Thursday 10/13: Mostly cloudy temps started off in the low 60s forcast highs in mid 70s with light winds out of the north.

Today they were catching:Spot a good run started about noon, Small pompano, few black drum eaarly in the day, sea mullet, with an occassional Blue & flounder.


Wednesday 10/12: Mostly cloudy with periods of light rain. Winds mostly light out of the NNE. Temps in the upper 70s.

The usual mix of fish caught today (spots, sea mullet, small blues, pompano and drums).

Reports from those on the pier say that a wave of the larger spots came thru. Three Kings were hooked with 1 landed.

Change to leaderboard in the King Mackeral catagory - Charlie Mullins caught a 23.1 pounder


Tuesday 10/11: Mostly sunny temps in the mid 80s but feels hotter (very humid). Winds NNE under 10 mph. Water fairly cloudy and mixed with the rain water of the past few days.

By 1pm a few people had coolers pretty full with spots. Call it a meduim run still not the BIG RUN.

Over night saw a few blues, few spots, pompano and sea mullets caught.


Monday 10/10: Cloudy with patches of rain, temps in mid 70s but feels hotter.

A fair number of spots and pompano have been caught this morning.

Last evening we saw a change to the leaderboard. Marva Williard caught a 1lb 15-1/2oz Speckled Trout


Sunday 10/09: Sunny... the winds and seas have laid down a bit. Temps in the low 80s wind steady at about 10mph. Still some high surf at 2pm.

Morning saw quite a few spots, pompano and black drum being caught. Afternoon we saw a few coolers being filled.

The Carteret News Times printed an article in todays' paper about the All Kids Pier Fishing Classic held last week.


Saturday 10/08: Heavy rain & wind until mid afternoon with waves 6-10feet. Morning saw very few fishers who caught even fewer fish(pompano, spots and trout).

About 2:30pm the sun came out traffic picked up and so did the fishing(more pompano, spots, trour and black drum).


Friday 10/07: Temps in the high 70s with winds 15-35mph. The sea is pretty churned up with 4-6' waves. Rain overnight continuing into the day likely to continue thru the evening.

Reports of a FEW sea mullet, blues and spanish - there should be some drum around, but the 5 or 6 braving the weather don't seem to be fishing for them.


Thursday 10/06: Reports of a sea mullet with a good run of spots around 4pm

Tuesday 10/04: Winds NNE at 10-15mph, chance of rain 40% (at least that is what the weather channel says. Right here at 2pm the temps are in the upper 80s, a few clouds in the sky...mostly sunny.

A few spanish were caught early this morning, also a few small spot and pompano, but 2pm saw low tide and things slowed down


Monday 10/03: Beautiful sunny day temps in mid 80s with a 10-15mph breeze out of the north north east.

Morning saw the catch of a FEW blues, spots and pompano.


Sunday 10/02: Beautiful sunny day temps in mid 80s with a light breeze out of the north east.

Early this morning saw a couple of spanish, a few keeper flounders,, a few spots and blues, pompano and small croaker. afternoon was slow near low tide but a few spanish were reported.


Saturday 10/01: Sunny temps in the low 80s with winds out of the north east under 10mph.

The North Carolina Seafood Festival - All Kids Pier Fishing Classic started last evening at 5pm. Twenty four participants entered last night. Thirty four kids have entered with thirty four fish weighed in by 12:45pm today.

They are catching, blues, spots, pompano, flounder, and a few other species.

The Kids Classic ends at 5:00pm with an awards ceremony. A trophy is awarded to the overall size winner. Prizes are awarded to the top 2 in each catagory.


Friday 9/30: Afternoon is partly cloudy with temps in the high 70s. Wind is a bit breezy out of the north north east.

This morning saw a few small flounders, a few blues, some spanish, some spots, a couple of real nice pompano, sea mullet and lady fish.

Skip Whitford caught a 22.1lb King Mackeral to take over the leaderboard this afternoon.


Thursday 9/29: Bright sunny day, temps in the low mid 80s, clear water length of pier, with light winds out of the southwest.

Some small flounder, a few spanish and a few spots reported caught.


Wednesday 9/28: Some small flounder, and a few spots reported caught.


Tuesday 9/27: 1:15pm Only about 10 people out fishing. Reports to me seem to indicate the fish are not jumping into anyone's cooler.

Right now winds are 0-10 mph out of the east. Look for that to change to NE and fishing to pick up later this afternoon and evening.


Monday 9/26: Still catching some nice Red Drum, one was over 5lb

Other than the drums, a few spots and pompano were caught. Action a bit slower than yesterday.


Sunday 9/25: The leaderboard changes again today. This time Toshio Kinoshita caught a 7lb 13-1/2oz Sheapshead.

A fair number of spots have been caught this afternoon.


Saturday 9/24: Another change to the leaderboard with a 5lb 3-1/2oz red drum caught by Ricky Price of Pine Level NC.

Overnight a fair number of spots were caught. Morning saw flounder, black drum, red drum sea mullets, blues, and spanish.


Friday 9/23: Morning saw a mix of blues, spot, pompano, croakers & flounder.

There was a hookup of a nice king early.


Thursday 9/22: A mix of blues, spanish, spot, pompano, croakers & sea mullet (no numbers to speak of).

A spinner shark was hooked up but never made it to the deck.


Wednesday 9/21: Pretty much the same as Tuesday


Tuesday 9/20: Morning has been a little slower than the last few days.

Some blues are being caught off the bottom along with a few small cobia (not big enough to keep).

Spot, pompano and croakers are being caught in the surf break area (no size or numbers reported).


Monday 9/19: Morning saw some spot, red drum, pompano, croaker and sea mullet caught.


Sunday 9/18: Morning we see a new leaderboard fish Douglas Hawkins caught a 1lb 1/4oz Croaker.

Other fish caught Sunday morning were some spot, drums(black & red), sea mullet, pompamo, and some blues caught off the bottom.

The sky is sunny with temps in the low 90s... still high humidity, winds out of the south west at 15mph.

The ocean is still a bit cloudy the length of the e Ophelia had come and gone. Power had been restored and the pier has sustained a minimum amount of damage.

The house out on the "T" lost 2 plywood panels and the middle house lost the side panels on the east side. We lost a few cross beams, but the pier is structurally sound.

There were two changes to the leader board Friday morning. J.W. Morris caught a 14oz Croaker and Dennis Hale caught a 4lb 15-1/2 Red Drum.
